Really like the images, especially Saturn

Am quite interested in trying out a webcam for imaging (thanks for the link brantuk) but I have a question I hope someone could help me with (am competely new to imaging) - can I use a webcam to create images using an equatorial mount without a drive? I have a 70mm refractor on an EQ1 mount, hoping to try and catch some planetary/moon images. Any advice would be appreciated
