My experience tells me f20-f30 gives generally the best results....

I have the full collection of the Powermates, and the one that gets the least use is definately the x5.

I would recommend starting with the x2.5 Powermate - it will get the most use.....

But that depends on the speed of the scope. A 2.5x powermate for my F/10 SCT is the same as a 5x powermate on an F/5 Newtonian.

Obviously most of my scopes are either f10 or f7.5......

I've got it:

resolution [arcseconds] = pixel size [um] x 206 / F ratio / Aperture

I asked that because I intend to buy an ATIK camera and I need to know the diferences between Atik 314 L+ and new Atik 420.
