Reducing photo size

Can some kind soul explain to this simpleton how to reduce the image file size so that I can post an image on here? I'm using 16 TIFF files in particular

You'll need to convert the Tiff to a jpg first. I use Photoshop and it's feature of 'saving for web use'. But Paint.net is free and very easy to use. Convert to JPG, resize and then 'save as'. When you Save as there is an option to set the compression with preview of the image and the final file size. Just adjust it until about right for posting.

You could use irfanview free and very useful and easy to do a batch of images.
