Jupiter - 28th January 2011

Got home early tonight so went straight out to have a look at Jupiter.

Seeing was good and the SEB is now forming to an easily observable feature.

The GRS was just visible too but looked very weak and washed out.

There was an interesting dark feature in the South polar region - not seen that before.

Ganymede was in close attendance.

Takahashi FS128 at x148, light blue filter, seeing II, 17:30UT.

Excellent sketch, with lots of detail and nice report. Sky was clear here this evening only problem was that I was stuck at work!

Cloudy now I am home, hopefully tomorrow?
