First light with canon 1000d

Hi all well i managed to get out tonight for a short while and test my 1000d out which has only been used in the daytime so far due to bad weather . The clouds were still around and i had to wait for semi clear gaps to even try to take a picture but in the end i came up with the one below , i was using the canon 1000d on my 127mm mak at prime and as far as i can tell everything seemed to work fine i just need a nice clear night now to give it a proper test .

yea cool shot i took my first pic of the moon last night .just holding up a digi camera to the eyepiece .i will be getting a 1000d in a couple of weeks now ive seen your shot i cannot wait even more.

Very good, sharp picture! The 100D is a nice camera for that sort of work.
