M34 (NGC 1039) - Open Cluster

Well here is my M34 given there was a moon which was not at all helpful I kept exposures to 120 seconds

This was taken with my Skywatcher 250 and unmodded Cannon 450D. Stacked in DSS and processed in PS.

I had hoped for a little more star color but not to worry.

Ive also noticed that Im not getting diffraction spikes like I used to, im assumimg this is because i used my dew Shield for the first time ?

Lights 30 x 120 secs

Darks 15 x 120 Secs

Flats 15

Nice tight stars John. You've got a bit of a gradient running across the image. I had a look at your jpeg. Once I'd removed the gradient (using gradient exterminator) it was easier to work on giving the star saturation a bit of a boost. Unfortunately this introduced some background colour noise because of the limitations of jpegs
