Blogging advise please

Help can someone tell me what blogs all about im not quite sure its all very confusing for a newbie you know never done blogging in my life stargazing yes blogging no. Thanks

Blogging is a type of public diary of sorts, a window into your world.

There are specific sites, such as Blogger.com that purely concentrate on providing a blog-type platform, on SGL it pretty much serves the same purpose.

People mainly use the blogging facility on this forum to write up lengthy observation reports and thoughts about their gear.

I think it's a wonderful tool for observation reports, not only do you have a fairly permanent record, you may choose to have settings that either everyone can see, your friends, or just yourself.

I like the thought that if somebody wrote such a report with a certain telescope, I would be interested in what the telescope can show. Sometimes it is just nice to follow people who have interesting lives.

I for one will be checking out the blogs more. There are quite a few interesting members on here.
