First Wide field Images

Hi all.

As my drive motors still haven't turned up I decided to make use of tonight's clear skies by taking my first pictures of the stars (Wide field I believe it is called?). After difficulty getting focus (which still isn't right -a method of focusing my camera to infinity would be great if poss).

Below are my attempts along with a close up shot of what I think should be the core of Andromeda.

Group on the middle left is Pleiades:

Slightly further to the "right":

Andromeda?:

If so, how do I capture the rest of it? More frames? I only stacked 10 I think.

Yep, it's in the right place...

Hi Pete.

Your 1st image has captured M45 nicely (3/4 way down on the left). Your last image however seems NOT to have captured M31.

Nice dark sky in all images. However in MY opinion there is no Andromeda galaxy.

I can't see it either but I'm sure it should be there...

Do I need more images to stack?

I was using ISO 400. If I made this higher would it be better?
