Finderscope question!

The 'Finderscope' on my Skylux telescope works perfect, but to put my eye up to it I need to tilt my head to the side because if I try to see through it with my head straight my chin hits the end of the scope so I can't get close enough!

What (if anything) should I do to stop this ?

Welcome to the world of poorly designed and placed finderscopes!! You may be able to rotate the tube in it's mounting (?) to find a better position.

Yep I can rotate it. I was wondering if that was the thing to do. Thanks for confirming it!

You will find that you often have to rotate the scope to get the eyepiece into a position where you can actually see throught it!!

Yep. Hopefully the clouds will clear later and I'll set the alignment for the Finderscope and Telescope!

You can set that up if you can find something like a distant tv ariel or church weathervane etc.

Just spent 40 mins in the drizzle aligning my finderscope, found a distant pylon but poor viewing obscured it before I could finish. Didn't help that I lost one of the tiny screws on the lawn the other night, adjusting with two just wouldnt work...eventually found missing screw, job done...anyone fancy a cuppa?!
