The waning gibbous moon was shining brightly & despite very wobbly seeing I couldn't resist imaging it.

2010 Nov 28, 0544 - 0612 UT. Age 22.04 days. Diameter 32.71'. Colongitude 173.9 deg. Illumination 57.0%. Libration in latitude +06 deg 13 min; libration in longitude -01 deg 45 min.

William Optics FLT 110, 2x Powermate, W29 (deep red) filter, Imaging Source DMK41 camera. 14 frame mosaic; this is a 23.4% resize, the full size version is available here (select "high res image" from the zoom menu).

Individual panes 200 frames stacked from 800 frame AVI, processed in Avistack v1.81. Mosaic assembly by Microsoft Image Composite Editor; post processing in Photoshop Elements v5.

Transparency good but with occasional drifting cloud. Seeing bad with continuous boiling with substantial amplitude. Temperature -5C. wind calm with occasional south easterly gusts force 1-2. Barometer 1007, steady.
