Webcam imaging

Tried out my flashed SPC900 Webcam on my C8 scope and have tried stacking etc but I am getting nowhere.

All I get is a big bright blob:icon_scratch: I could see the bands etc whilst using a 40mm eyepiece but when I stick the webcam on I cannot see anything but a bright blob on the screen should I be able to see bands on the laptop?

I expect I have a focusing issue.

Here is my settings

[Philips SPC 900NC PC Camera]

Brightness=64

Contrast=32

Saturation=0

Gamma=0

ColorEnable=255

BacklightCompensation=0

Gain=18

Exposure=-6

Resolution=640x480

Frame Rate (fps)=10.00

Colour Space / Compression=I420

1/25 or 1/33 for the exposure as well

Any ideas?

In SharpCap you can try few things:

- lower gain/brightness to minimum

- lower exposure to minimum

If those options aren't available and SPC has it's own application check if it doesn't has:

- autoexposure, autocolor on

- own gain/exposures time settings that aren't as low as you set them in the image capture app (SharpCap/other)

Or

- try bigger f/-ratio :)
