How does the messaging system work?

Quite simple, really

At the top right hand side of the page should be a message that says "You have x messages, y are new", and the "x messages" part will be underlined, indicating a link. Click this.

You will be taken to your Personal Messaging (PM) Inbox, with a list of message headers, underneath which, will be the bodies of the messages.

There are also 4 buttons at the top of this section: Delete, Outbox, New Message, Reload. Hopefully, they are self-explanatory as to the function of each!!

Clicking "New Message" brings up a new page with 4 text entry boxes: To, BCC, Subject, Body. In the To box you can just type the persons ID that you want to send the message to, or click the little blue 'i' to bring up a search box. If you want to put multiple people in, it's a comma separated list.

You can then run a spell-check, preview what the message will look like (useful when doing links and stuff) just as you can with a normal post.

Oh, don't forget to click Send!!!

You can also PM someone by clicking the little round, blue IM logo underneath the persons avatar.
