It seems like the three stars around it would make it easier to find, can't wait to have a go when I get home but judging by the size of your scope to mine I may struggle. What Mag is NGC 246?

Magnitude of 8.5 but a Surface brightness of Mag 13.5. The embedded stars are approx mag 11
