Had to share this so you can all point and laugh at me

Ok wasted 1 hour imaging, trying to set up the QHY9 CCD with filter wheel after a strip down and clean of filters and CCD.

Then outside.

1. Align Check

2. Vega in sights Check

3. bahnitov mask on Check

4. Why no stars.

Repeat and repeat trying to work out why all i had was noise on the CCD image.

Reboot pc, warm up CCD, re-align and did this about 3 times.

Could not work it out.

So decided to strip down the camera and guess what I found.

See the images of the filter wheel, both images taken with filter wheel in the same orientation.

Can you see my stupid mistake when I put the wheel back together again.... DOH !!!!!

Ok you can all point and laugh at me, I AM WITH STUPID !!!!!

Aren't we all experts in that! Yesterday I was fitting shelves in a cupboard at my sister's new place, and I very carefully measured out the positions of the holes to be drilled in the wall, and very carefully got three holes PRECISELY 1cm wrong. Try drilling another 8mm hole in a brick wall just one cm apart (BLEH). I will have to fix that tonight.
