Anyone using one of these happily and successfully with a Baader modded DSLR ?????

I had one with my unmodded 1000d. Worked ok but affected the colour balance significantly. Now use the Hutec IDES (?) filter which has much less effect on cb.

Hmm, I was also about to order a 2" SW LPF, but I really don't want any kind of colour cast. Which Hutec filter do you have & how much did it set you back?

I use the sw LPf and the Cls with my unmodded slr. Both cause a colour cast but dss deals with it nicely during stacking as it produces a specific White balance

I have a 2" Skywatcher on my unmodded Canon1000D. Gives excellent colour balance without any tweaking - maybe it depends how much light pollution you start with.

This was my spectral transmission measurement of the SW LPF compared to the Hutech LPF. I also took some colour balance photos that I'll try and dig out.

Many thanks, very useful. Looks like they probably both produce a slight purple-ish colour cast
