Making my Dob taller...?

Hi all i was wondering if anyone has a mod or link to one for making my 200p taller, im 6foot and i am finding that leaning down to look thru the scope is after a few hours giving me a sore back.

I just want something that can make my dob about a foot taller.

Another vote for sitting down whilst observing, but there are times when I wish was higher, when sighting through the Telrad for example.

I did consider that half a wooden barrel would make a good plinth.

I am considering purchasing one of these ironing stools from Amazon. They have 4 height adjustment settings so it should be ideal when changing the altitude of a dob. It doesn't state though what height it adjusts to.

The ironing stools are ok, I have one myself, but they are a bit of a faff to adjust the height, not the kind of thing you'd want to do in the dark.

I vote for sitting.

I use a plain ole piece of garden furniture and either sit on the seat, sit on the arm or lean on the back....simples!

Here in Canada we have a thing called a milk crate which is a heavily constructed 12 x 12 x 12" plastic box, I have often seen them used under shorter dobs to increase the height. Something like that, or a homemade box of the appropriate height would do well, as well as being a place to put odds and ends that you have to carry over to your site.

I use my dining room chair, does the job and saves the back ache, Only ever stand when using the finder scope, And am 6ft aswel

I use use a bar stool,which seems to be the perfect height for me
