web cam , first i have a spc 880 flashed to spc900 from gordons website , i have modded it as far as fitting the 4066 chip and switch but not the parallel cable , i have a usb laptop so i will probably get the converter and do that mod also if required , however i tried the cam in its current state and wxastrocapture seems to recognise it in comm port 4 , when i switch the camera to lx mode ( the switch on the camera)the image darkens quite a lot so i guess the mod is doing something, is this normal , the software seems to affect the camera ok, shutter speed, gamma, exposure etc , when i tick the long exposure box in camera rec mode it allows me to tick the box and adjust time , i am not sure if this actually working or not , is their an easy way to test this ? also can i take single frame long exposures ? any help/advice welcome

Sounds like you may need to adjust the port pin settings in WXastrocapture. I had the same effect until I got the check boxes right. On mine the invert box needed checking.

What you should see on the screen when connecting to the LX port is a bright flash and then return to normal.
