Telescope servicing

Hi All

I have been thinking about treating my scope to a optical service from telescope house which includes corrector plate removal cleaning and general service and collimation all for around £45 it sounds a great deal for a full professional service

Just wanted to know if anyone has had this done and was pleased with it

I do my own similar servicing and for the time it takes to do it properly, around £45 does seem a good deal although you might have to factor in delivery etc. Try getting that much work done on your car for £45!

If I had to send and pay for delivery etc it wouldn't be viable for me really it is only because I am a reasonable driving distance (1hr) that I am thinking about it

Plus it gives me a chance to have a look around a nice telescope showroom which I have never done before

But for some reason the wife says it may be a good idea not to take my bank card with me
