Good targets for widefield???

Am starting out on widefield with my canon 1000d, piggybacked on my LX10. Any suggestions as to what are good targets at this time of year?I want to try out a new 135mm lens. the camera is not modded so some of the nebula will be wasted on me.

I'm probably going to have a go myself tonight, I like the double cluster in Perseus so will have ago around there, or maybe cygnus.

I used to have a LX10, my mate still has his, A decent scope that sets up very quickly with out all the fuss of power supplies. Where abouts in the world are you?

How about the area around the elephant trunk in Cepheus? It is up all night, only taking a little stroll around polaris :-)

Cygnus-Cepheus-Perseus. You can't go wrong in wide angle.
