Modding the SPC900 webcam

I've just got hold one of the SPC900 webcams and was looking through the numerous pages of posts regarding it when access suddenly was removed and now I can find no reference at all to the posts. I'm looking for links to how to mod the webcam for astro use - fitting a nosepiece, losing the ugly plastic bits, etc. Anyone know where I can look? And why did the whole thread suddenly disappear - there was a huge amount of really useful discussion in there...

Thanks beamish. There is a thread started yesterday with a link to where you can buy these webcams for £5. Many people are snapping them up myself included). Someone mentioned starting a thread about how to mod the cam and download drivers etc (cuz the ones on sale for £5 come with no disc).
