Rainbow sundogs?

Hi everyone,

I was watching the sunset from the car (darn - no camera!) and I saw two rainbow patches either side of the Sun at equal distances and angles - from what I have learned, they were sundogs, but they did look weird. I'm gutted that I didn't have my camera, but what can you do. Did anyone else see them?

didn't realise they came in twos until someone told me.

I was at work in St. John's near Woking and as I was closing a resident's window I noticed the sundog at 18:45. Could only see the right hand 'mock' sun and a bit of rainbow color. The other side was hidden behind a building.

Hauled all the residents I could find out onto their balconies to see it. Some were impressed.
