Nice transparent clear night last night & the seeing was moderate with only light continuous boiling. First set of captures at prime focus went very well:

Then I stuffed in the "1.5x" barlow (which actually gives me almost 2x) focused carefully & started capturing (red first as usual). After about 50 secs into the 1 min capture the seeing went completely pants - from being able to see loads of detail in the preview screen I was hardly able to make out the NEB - and it stayed that way, so I only got a red image in larger scale:

About an hour later a band of cirrocumulus spread across the sky from the north west ... I suspect the sudden & catastrophic breakdown in seeing was caused by the incursion of a jet stream which this cloud band was associated with.
