2" diagonal help please

Hi folks,

I've been looking at this 2" diagonal: http://www.firstlightoptics.com/proddetail.php?prod=WOcfDielectric

and this one: http://www.harrisontelescopes.co.uk/acatalog/Revelation_Quartz_Dielectric_Diagonal_SCT.html

I know the William Optics one has a very good reputation, but is it worth paying the extra £35 for it against the Revelation? Does anyone know if I'll see any difference between the two or am I paying for the William Optics name?

I have the revelation quartz diag and I can can highly recommend it and a good buy for that price they was until recently around the £100 mark

I very much doubt there would be any difference in performance of the 2

If it was me I would go for the revelation and put the saving towards a nice 2” eyepiece

I have both, to my eyes they are on par.

I just love the WO build quality.

You will be well pleased with the revelation though, hard to beat at the price

Thanks guys. That's very helpful. I always like the look of WO equipment, but the Revelation is such a good price I'll go for that one. Like you say Kevin, the saving can go towards an eyepiece. Although I desperately need some sort of dew control. I had the CPC1100 out for the first time last week and it was dewed over within minutes.
