Atic 16IC and DFK 21AU04.AS mono/colour

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I currently have a Canon 350D EOS SLR and I'm in the process of purchasing a new setup to start astro photography.

I know my Canon will be more then fine but I know nothing about the Atic or DFK.

Are these cameras usefull for imaging DSO's or just suitable for Planets etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Neil

I use the ATiK16ic for spectroscopy. IMHO an excellent way to start with a mono, cooled CCD for astronomical imaging. Also makes a great guide camera.

I also have the mono version of the DMK21 which again is excellent for planetary, lunar and in my case Solar ( it also works well with the spectroscope.

Both are recommended.
