Atik EFW 2 Filter Wheel incoming.

Atik advise us their new Atik EFW2 filter wheel is ready for dispatch so they should arrive here in the UK before end of month

We are waiting on confirmation of price and specification.

This is a pre-production picture, we'll update it when they arrive.

Yes, there will be a number of interchangeable filter disks which together with its large 54mm aperture means it can cater for sensors up to full-frame (35mm) format. Another feather in it's cap that will appeal to owners of Atik cameras is that they can mount their camera directly to the wheel, the same is true of the Atik OAG Off Axis Guider ... when it arrives.

We now understand the new Atik EFW2 filter wheel will have a SRP price of £412, we have reduced that to £398 as we feel it is a more sensible price-point.

Interesting that it is £100+ more expensive than the Starlight Xpress filter wheel. It does however have a 9x 1.25" filter disk option (SX offer a 7x) and a 7x36mm, and the usual 5x 2". More are in the pipeline. We understand you can mount Atik cameras directly to the filter wheel, though we will confirm that when it arrives. You will be able to mount the new Atik OAG directly to the wheel (as with the SX) though that has yet to be released.

The wheel is supplied as standard with T adapters front and rear, others will also be available. Back-focus is 22mm. We will update this thread as news comes in.

You are right though, not any wear at all on most of my gear.
