M17 Swan

I found this target difficult to image. I took 10 x 10 min frames and applied darks / flats 8 inch newt Canon 350D modded.

I was expecting more nebulosity and a sharper image.

Dont know much my self but that looks really good plenty detail in their, just looks a tad dim? what ISO were you using?

Michael, I used ISO 400. Maybe could of used ISO 800. I might try that next.

Yup i would of said 400 to be a little low right enough. Keep us posted

Hope you dont mind but i had a little play to try and brightin it up a bit. It was suprisingly easy just a few minor adjustments in PS.

Im now strugling to see what your problem is with it? lol I think you have done a great job. Core looks good, plenty detail, nice colour, stars sharp.

Think you're being to hard on you're self mate. Give you're self a pat on the back. I would be very happy with that result. well done

omega nebula very nice i was observing this at salisbury star party looks all most the same well done
