Some efforts from the 15th

Recommended Posts

Here are two pics from the 15th of August (1:30h and 2:03h respectively (Central European summer time)), both with my C8 with 2x TeleXtender, and SPC900. Captured with wxAstrocapture at 15 FPS, processed with Registax and Gimp.

Seeing was bad initially, a lot better in the second shot (where I also got better focus).

The capture is marginal I would say. I assume you increased the blue and green channels to get this colour balance? I am a bit in two minds about that, as it does pick up a bit more detail, but further removed from what I used to get on daylight film:

I will fiddle around with the settings a bit more.

No i used chrominance on image analyzer, i couldnt correct the orange colour cast by doing RGB adjustment, as i think the hue is off or something else. in them cases its much harder to correct, but others may be able too.

its easy to know the correct colour balance by eye, with the grs looking red and the clouds looking white, though i didnt get that exactly right here, but i tried
