Perseids clouded out - some older lucky shots

as the Perseids are clouded out here in Southern Germany (Murphy´s law is perfect), I searched my files for some older "lucky shots" to share.

Both images are taken again at Rooisand Namibia in May 2008:

with Tripod mounted Canon 20D, EF-S 18-55 at 18mm, f3.5, ISO 800, 30sec.

1st at 18:51 and 2nd at 19.10 05/06/2008

Fantastic! I tried my hand at shooting the Perseids last night, and although I saw loads of bright meteors, I didn't get any on film.
