Quick & Dirty Jupiter Query

OK, far from ideal, this is with two sw x2 barlows stacked, only a quick processing but I have a query, at the bottom just where the pale blends into the darker pole area and just left, that oblong'ish area, is that natural or do I have a problem? What is it?

I'm no expert, and I'm not exactly certain of the feature You are referring to??

I played with the levels to help with the visibility, but it all looks perfectly natural to me.

Apart from a narrow featureless band around the left limb of the planet which is no big deal and possibly a processing artifact.

Looks like a great image to me :)

It's only about 1400 frames so don't think it's rotation, it's probably natural as on my other images at different mag from same time last night it's there as well, probably just me, didn't expect to see such a definite shape, but if saturn can have it's hexagonal storm i suppose jupiter can have it's oblong one! :)
