TouCam 740K and Windows 7

Hi

I'm rebuilding my laptop and was about to install Windows 7. According to the Philips website, my original Toucam PCVC740K will not work on Win 7. Yet, I keep reading on various forums that people are using that toucam with windows 7 with no issues...

Has anyone tried this combo and did it work?

Just flash the toucam with the SPC900 firmware and it will work fine with Win 7, there's info on here on it, if you struggle, post back and either i or someone else will give you pointers.

The firmware flashing looks really iffy when you read the site, it's just the author making sure no-one tries to blame him if they screw up, I've firmware flashed two toucams and it was dead easy and went smooth as silk.
