Celestron CG-5 Goto Mount

Has anybody got a solution to the noisy motors on this mount.

I had mine stripped down yesterday with the covers off and ran the motors. There was not much noise. Thr problem seems to come when the scope is mounted, it acts as an amplifier.

I was thinking about some sort of insulation to reduce the noise.

Would extending a dew cap to the whole length of the tube solve the problem. Has anybody tried this.

Some put a towel around the mount, reduces the noise.
