bombassa
HiI bought a Talx2 barlow some time ago and finally had a chance to try it out. The images with the 10mm supplied eyepiece (and barlow) are never completely sharp and the views are darker. But without the barlow everything is good. I have tried this in daytime also. I can live with the darker image but the missing sharpness bothers me. Is it be a problem with the eyepiece or is it just the reality of a budget barlow?I'm not 100% happy.Btw beautiful view of Jupiter and four moons last night. This can easily save the week for me. Whats this cloudy weather you all write about?
Llamanaut
ive got a tal x2 barlow (and a x3) however mine is sharp as a pin, could be down to your scopes focal length, when i try it in my 76mm heritage reflector the view is dim and out of focus. As soon as you increase the mag you'll lose some light so images will be dark
