Aluminium angle....

Doc

Recommended Posts

As far as I'm aware, stock aluminum angle only comes in 90 degrees?

I'm sure thats the case with mild steel, as I can never remember anything but, in steel stockholders catalogues.

Could be wrong of course.

I second what Ed says above, regarding folding.

The only other way would be to get 2 plates welded together?

Andy.

Richard Austin Alloys Ltd - Aluminium and Stainless Steel

The company I worked for used the above supplier. No mention of anything but 90 degrees in the stock list. Looks like it would have to be a 'customer special'. Best to phone up a non-ferrous/alluminium supplier and ask, I guess.

Andy.

ps: If it were me, I'd go down the, welding two plates together, road. Possibly more cost effective.

Thanks for the offer Phil but he needs a fair bit.

What it was for was a large summerhouse roof, his going to use 90° and have it welded so it stays in place, then he can use the 45° side to bolt the struts onto.

Thanks anyway.
