Best Observing sites...

Hi, i live just outside Southampton, UK and therefore there is quite bad light pollution from not just Southampton but also Bournemouth just down the road.

Im just getting into astronomy so want to see as much as possible, therefore I was just wandering if anyone here knows of some really good observing sites in or around the New Forest?

I don't know your area of the country but if you download -

you will find the best map I've ever seen. Beware it is big. Over 18mb.

It is meant for imaging but will give you a good idea.
