No drawings?

Well, here will do! I have recently got the urge (thanks to a couple of old hands) to do some sketching rather than imaging and started on the Moon. Cloudy though - wouldn't you know It's been many years since I used a pencil in anger so these first attempts are not as good as I'd hoped.

Anyway, Theophilus was done from a photograph and took about an hour, much too long. I was getting bogged down with detail rather than getting stuff on the paper.

Next, again from a photograph, Eratosthenes. Spent 20 minutes on this one, still not good but getting faster!

Last one is actually at the scope, the 4" f/5 APM with a 20mm EP. Maybe 30 minutes to get this down. I'm nearly ready to climb the ladder and do this with the big scope

We certainly need more sketching on this forum, perhaps these will spur others to do the same Arthur, 1st and 2nd sketch are very good indeed.... 8)
