Goskywatch Planetarium for iPad. Seems ok. Has a red light mode and it's completely free. Haven't tried to use it in anger but the big display certainly helps compared to the planetarium on my iPhone.

I have this for my iPod touch and think it's pretty awesome. Definitely helps me when using my Dob. Only downside is it does seem to lack a lot of options other Astronomy apps have, such as the best views for that specific night, moon info for other planets, etc.

Very simple to use though.

Starmap HD is 59p at the minute for the iPad isn't it? I'd get that if I was you. It'll go up to £11 soonish.

Looks good. Might do that. Use a different one on my iPhone which doesn't seem to have an upgrade yet for the iPad.

I use Starmap Pro on my iPhone and I love it.

59p for it on the iPad is a bargain.

Bought Starmap for my iPad. Pretty amazing value when you think you'd probably spend 30 quid on an app like this on a desktop/laptop. Just need an attachment for the iPad now so it can sit on my mount next to my telescope

How much was it?

I have it on 3g so I don't have the compass thing but one of my mates has it on his 3gs and it really is amazing with it moving around with you as you hold it up to the sky.
