Animation of transit of AR11082 across solar disk

Thought I'd take advantage of the fact that I've had over a weeks worth of clear(ish) skies to pull together an animation of the transit of AR11082 across the solar disk.

Sadly (which seems to happen with all my animations) I missed two days near the begining due to two days being clouded out but still looks OK.

Main lesson for next time is to try and get the PST etalon sweetspot on the same place to try and get a more even surface but still pretty happy.

Thanks for looking.

S.

Nice one!

Claerly shows the position of the Sun's axis at the moment. Could you apply median filtering to the images and use the result as a "flat" to balance the sweet spot brightness? (Just an idea... never tried it myself)
