NexImage as a Guider

Recommended Posts

I tired my LPI and found it couldn't pick up enough stars to get a good guide star, unless there was lots of bright stars near the object I was imaging. I assume it may be similar with the Neximage.

Sorry chaps but it wont work...

You need exposures longer than the neximage can do.

The LPI can do longer exposures but as the Rev said you cant get enough bright stars to guide with...

I have tried it myself with an LPI and it dont do the deed.

I ended up getting a 2nd hand meade dsi mk1 for £80-makes an excellent guide camera.

Good luck and clear skies

 Daz
