Meade 10x50 binos for 29 quid!?!

Hi everyone,

Wandered across this at telescope house. What do people think, something to be avoided or a ridiculously good bargin?

One problem withose binoculars, Lidl sometimes sell those under a different brand name. Price varies between £9.99 - £13.99.

For the money they work ok, but the prism housing is a bit on the delicate side as they misalign quite easily. Although fixing them is not to difficult.

Hi Peter,

I own a pair of these and find them reasonable for the price.

Slightly blury at the edges and a yellowish tint to the overall image, but better than NONE at all.

I use them mainly for my hiking excursions and for a quick sweep of the skies.

Made solar filters for them and find them OK to check for sunspots.

When I really mean business I grab my TS 10x50 WP

They´re not sharp to the edges either, but deliver a brighter and crisper image.
