fujifilm camera

Hi all

Ive been wanting to take pictures through my scope since I got it and the best I've managed so far is holding my digi camera to the eyepeice but I cant keep still enough. Ive had a couple of nice moon shots though..

Anyway, Ive discovered my Mums got a fujifilm s5000. Does anybody know if this camera is any use for astrophotography? it certainly looks the part and its got a 'super ccd' badge on it.

Anybody had any experiences with this camera?

Our s8000 doesnt allow you to take long exposures which is what you need (I think)

Hi Andy

I have the s5600 and you can do Moon, Double stars and some of the brighter fuzzies.

My camera can do upto 15secs exposure time.

It's not the ideal camera but it can work, My avatar is a Moon pic taken using the video mode.
