what are the best binoculars for under £150?

The Pentax 12X50 PCF WPII gets a good review £140 at FLO or there is the same model as a 10X50. Another couple of 10X50's that get good reviews are the Nikon Action Extreme and Opticron Imagic TGA WP.

funny you should mention the Pentax set as I was looking at them on FL0's website just before I put this thread up.

From what I've read the Pentax deliver views which are crisp to the edge but have a narrower field of view whilst the Nikon's have a wider field of view but are not quite sharp to the edge not sure about the Opticron's. If it were me I'd probably go for the Nikon's not quite 100% sharp but I prefer to have as wider field of view as possible.

Now you've got me. Think I would rather have the widest fov like yourself. Whatever I choose their bound to be an improvement on my £25.00 Bressers!

My Celestron Skymasters blow me away everytime i use them so i would recommend them, they are also just light enough to be able to hold without a tripod.
