Just Two Questions!

Hi all,

First one, what is the best website to see what/if there is any cloud coverage for the coming night?

Second, Its going to be my first night using my new HEQ5, weather permiting, What do you recommend I look at first, what will be the most impressive? ( I will get home by 0100, and I'm talking DSO etc not saturn )

Have a look at the globular clusters M3, M13 and M92 also try looking for some galaxies M51, M81 and M82.

Okay thank you for that, i have tried m51 with goto so it will be a test to see if i was in the right place. I will have a go at the rest of the tonight then.

I go with the Met Office and then the BBC. You could always try MetCheck thats quite accurate, it also has an Astronomy weather detail in the 'Hobbies' section.

First night, try Saturn, M13, M92 for comparison and M27 they are all quite easy to find.

I prefer Met Office I think, it tells me what I want to hear
