EOS camera movie record.

Recommended Posts

I have just recently downloaded this piece of software. It allows any EOS camera with liveview to record movies.

Great gadget i have to say.

I am just now wondering if i use it to video meteor showers if they will show up on it?

I know the "norm" method to image meteors is to use hundreds/thousands of short exposures and hopefully capture one.

I am just wondering if using this software (at the correct settings for imaging meteors) will allow me to capture meteors crossing my FOV.

Why not just select a part of the sky off to one side of the radiant of the meteor shower, and take a series of 30 second exposures.

Use ISO 800 and 50mm lens on a fixed tripod There won't be much trailing, depending which part of the sky you are imaging.

If any meteors pass theough the FOV of the lens, you will record them.

Ron.
