Very useful if you don't have very long arms or you are unable to communicate you requirements with your assistant, without one or both getting annoyed

If you've got one of those huge light buckets that require a stepladder & good balance. It would be very useful I would imagine & its not too expensive either , until you get the shipping cost to UK and import duty, etc

I bet you could make one from really long slow motion control knobs and a socket welded on - or maybe DC focusers - for a few quid. I instantly forgot the idea of sticky backed plastic and washing up liquid bottles.
