Orion Precision Centering adapter!!!

Ok just bought one of these from astro buy and sell!

Having a Newt and collimating on a regular basis I was interested to see how much difference this would make .

Well I can tell you now ladies and gents, after fitting said device and popping in the laser and chesire eyepieces my collimation was way off!

I thought that I had done a pretty good job before but obviously you can't centre the chesire exactly in the focus tube buy using the thumb screws and everytime you take out and replace, it will have moved slightly.

So yet another essential purchase for us NEWT owners? unless of course you have a hotech?

Anyone else use one of these little gizmo's?
