Saturn Tonight 26/04/10 2300hrs

Just took a quick look at Saturn tonight with my 6 inch dob, usually I can make out 2 or 3 moons with my 25mm EP. I was gobsmacked to see 5 .

I'm very new to this and havent got a correct vision prism thang - but 4 were showing very clearly on the RIGHT the 2 nearest Saturn very close together other 2 spread out slightly further away and 1 showing further off to the LEFT that was dimmer.

I wasn't even going to bother with the moon being so bright and fairly close in my FOV - so glad I never missed this wonderful sight.

nice one i was looking too anyways it was too bright for anything else, tried to find a few dso's but i was wasting my time with my 130mm dob

Im pretty confident i made out 2 of the further moons, off to the right.

But light pollution is to bad here to hope for much more.

was a fantastic view from here too. Looked liked a string of (very small) pearls for a time. One of those where you look at your watch and wonder where the last 20 mins have gone!
