Another M101

A tricky one to get right. And I still haven't managed to control the stars very well, despite using star layers and other 'tricks'. I think that the 'spikes' around the brighter stars are due to reflected light bouncing around my homemade due shield. I'll remove the shield and see what happens.

There is only a couple of hours of data here so I shall see if I can add another few hours to it tonight (taking advantage of the aircraft free skies).

That's not a bad a result at all Steve, a bit more time on it would certainly not go amiss, but I can appreciate the difficulties.

But as I say, it's still a nice result. Do you plan to add colour to it?

With regards to colour - I was going to wait until I receive my EFW from that Atik imaging competition, but with nice clear skies I might just do it now with my manual FW (gift horses' mouths and all that).
