Summer has arrived (where was spring?); very thin high cloud didn't help but failed to ruin the view.

CaK disc view shows continuing low level of activity.

White light, disc blank except for small faint faculae at north east & west limbs.

Ha disc activity (large image) dominated by filaments. The "birthmark" or "forest" filament on the north west limb appears almost unchanged:

There is a bright medium sized prominence on the N limb

a tallish but faint prominence on the ENE limb

a group of moderately tall but fairly faint prominences on the SSW limb

Transparency moderate with very thin cirrostratus, varying in thickness. Seeing mostly poor but with some moderate intervals. Temp 17C, wind SW force 1-2.
