Dmk21 And Pst settings

Hi,

Can any one help me with the settings of the dmk21 using a pst for solar imaging cant seem to get it sussed ?.One thing i have learned quickly is to change the codec of the avi or registax doesnt like them .

If you use Y800 Codex you'll be OK.

A gain of around 200 and vary the exposure to suit ie Ha proms and Surface detail.... what more can I say.

Helen gets good results with a PST and a x2.5 Powermate.

To start off: Minimum gain, default everything but exposure time, exposure manual, adjust till it shows the detail you want. If the exposure is longer than about 1/30 sec increase the gain & shoot more frames to keep the noise in check.

With my Solarscope 60 working at f/16 I usually get about 1/90 sec at minimum gain for surface details, more often 1/30 sec with increased gain for prominences.
