hooray its sunny , i've got the week off and the pst is out.

lots of activity

one large loop prominence in the 11 o,clock position

three smaller ones in the 8 o,clock position

and a row of five from from 9 o,clock right round to 6 o,clock

thats 9 visible prominence's and there are probably more

but the wind is buffeting the scope and making it difficult to pick out the smaller ones.

and that nice orange peel effect on the disc is very sharp .

note all positions are as seen through the scope

Nice one. Wish we had some "Essex Sky" here today!(Todmorden) Very strong wind and overcast but forecast better for later in the week.
